Neumane, Antonio

Antonio Neumane(1818-1871), German/Italian composer and teacher, he studied at the Milan Conservatory and later taught at the Vienna Conservatory. He traveled various countries in Europe and South America, served as master of choirs in Santiago, Chile. In 1840 he went to Ecuador, settled there and founded the National Conservatory in Quito, and became the first director. He composed the national anthem of Ecuador.
